The person with the pair of eights in their hand wins. In Omaha you can play ONLY three cards from the board. The person with XXXA has three 2's with an AX and the person with XX88 has a full house.

Gary,

In Omaha Poker, you use two cards in your hand and three on the board. In your example, the player with the four in his and would have four fours with whatever the next highest card is in his hand as the kicker. A kicker is indeed part of the hand. You must play two cards in your hand.

three of a kind is floped (4s) and the first person has a 4 and second person has a pair(2s).

The first player is only using 1 card to make his hand 4 of a kind.

The second person pushes 2s for a full house.

Who wins... The rules say you must play 2 cards and
Omaha holdem does not allow a kicker to be played on 4 of a kind hand???

What is the extra card called in the first players hand that did not play to make 4 of a kind?

It seams to me both cards are required to be played, when making a hand, therefore 2 on the flop and 2 in you hand is the only way to make 4 of a kind???
